I have been reading an article on news.com that was talking about Microsoft’s releasing applications on various different mobile platforms.
The article can be found here
It is what I have been saying all along, that is a company that wants to be able to succeed in the mobile application business needs to be able to accommodate for all platforms.
A prime example of this is Google Android. A few years ago, it was trailing behind the Apple iOS product line. Now, it is prevalent everywhere.
Why is this? The simple reason is that it has reached more audience and more devices that recognises itself as Android. That is not to say that I think android will win, I still think that it is all about preference and some people will like the layout of iOS, while others would like iOS.
Horses for courses I say!
