			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Interesting thing happened yesterday. Yes my Gmail account got broken into. It was not a  nice experience having the mail acccount that you depend upon violated and spammed from. And then embarrasingly having to write to everyone in your contact list to say &#8220;Sorry&#8221;.</p>
<p>Anyway I digress. . .I found out about the account being compromised when my site lead sent me an email to ask <em>&#8220;Did you send this?&#8221; </em>and then when I tried to log into my Gmail account it came up with the error &#8220;This is not the right password, Access is denied&#8221; Several more attempts and it confirmed my suspicions.</p>
<p>Google is quite good in that it has a recovery process to deal with compromised accounts. I won&#8217;t go with the semantics but suffice to say that  straight after I found out about my account being compromised I changed my passwords on everything that is important to me. Gmail, my online banking, just to name a few. Who knows what those people would have gone through?</p>
